<p>Manokamna “Mannu” Tripathi ( ) is an ambitious and smart girl who lives with her parents and two younger sisters. She is adorned by her childhood friend Devi who is secretly in love with her but never expresses in front of her. In order to escape the pressure of her family to get married, Mannu takes a high paying job as sales executive at a condom manufacturing factory, which Devi joins later. While she excels at her job despite the hurdles, she meets and falls in love with Ranjan Prajapati, a freelance nautanki artist who lives in a join family lead by his overbearing father Keval Prajapati. Mannu and Ranjan bribe the Pandit to make their match seems natural as Keval Prajapati is against love marriage. After marriage one day the family finds out the true nature of Mannu’s work and force her to leave the job. Manno starts selling plastic boxes where one of her colleague gets pregnant and is killed during the abortion as suggested by the village elders. This shocks Mannu who decides to rejoin the previous job and use it as a mean to create awareness for protective sex as in the end it’s only women who suffer the humiliate, physical and mental challenges. He father in law, who is contesting municipality elections calls in her parents and asks them for a divorce. Mannu meanwhile confronts Ranjan for not taking stand for her and willing to divorce her despite his love for her and only to please his father. Ranjan promises to stand up to his father. Court gives the couple six months to reconcile the differences before finalizing divorce. Mannu is determined to create awareness among women especially. She appears in a TV add to promote the use of condom as protection for women as against the previous marketing strategy where it was sold as pleasure for men. She is reached out by a misogynistic reporter but she responds carefully. He interview and ad become talk of the town much to anguish her father in law. On the election day when he wins the election he is told that his victory is in fact public support for Mannu. He walks away from the ceremony and throws Ranjan and Mannu out of the house when Ranjan refuses to sign the divorce papers. Ranjan’s sister goes into labor . At hospital the doctor scolds the husband for conceiving yet another child after very complicated first delivery, which now has put the life of his wife and the child in danger. Hearing his daughter’s life is in danger, Keval Prajapati asks his son in law, why did he not use protection to avoid to protect his wife. His father, Dadaji, points out that Mannu was trying to do the same but he could not accept that. Later doctor announces that the mother and child are safe and out of danger. Keyal, after realizing his mistake accepts Mannu’s job and welcomes her back in the family. Movie ends with Mannu addressing the audience to be responsible and use protection.
